- Arp
- Up, down, up-down, down-up, random or as played, from quarter notes to 32nds and triplets, up to three octaves, gate, swing, accent and feel. It follows the chord changes in the clip you point it at, or plays the Harmony card's chord.
- Fill
- A quarter, half, one or two bars, on the snare, the toms, a mix or the hats, building into the bar end with a crash out. It reads the track's Drum Rack so it lands on the right pads. Reroll for another take.
- Break
- The groove thins to hats, kick or silence for one, two or four bars, then a re-entry fill brings it back.
- Riser
- One held note over one to eight bars and, if you choose a device, a clip envelope that opens its Frequency into the drop.
- Smooth
- An S-curve on any device parameter across a section join, written as a clip envelope: flat, the move, flat again.
- Hear before you write
- Every card has Hear. A scratch clip goes into the highest empty slot on the target track, plays once through that track's instrument, and is removed. Write & play puts it in the slot you chose.
